The Monday Wordle is the 800th word used in the game, and this particular word shouldn’t be too difficult for most fans who’ve worked through the other 799. It is a bit difficult to believe it was 800 days ago when this simple puzzle game took social media by storm. Its addictive gameplay, single daily limit, and ambiguous emoji boxes caught the attention of everyone stuck indoors during the pandemic, and continues to be a part of many people’s daily routine.
The huge influx of Wordle copycats popped up quite quickly after its initial introduction to the zeitgeist. Some had upset users as they were clearly trying to rip off the original and make a quick buck, while others are still going strong to this day. A simple premise, and an honest game, can easily grab the hearts of millions of people.

Today’s Wordle Answer (August 28th #800)
The August 28th Wordle word is WRITE.
We got incredibly lucky with our guess today as the starting Wordle word we used was IRATE. This provided almost everything we needed, three correct letters and a single misplaced one. Knowing the only other possible spot for the misplaced letter was the empty one, our guess basically provided ‘_RITE’. A quick fix and we scored a Wordle win-in-two with our 800th word, WRITE.
