Screen Rant’s exclusive clip from The Inspection’s behind-the-scenes DVD extra gives new insight into Bratton’s deeply personal military drama. The clip includes Nicholas Logan, who plays Brooks, one of the grill sergeants, talking about how he was able to get into character with the cast and how Bratton allowed him to improvise while he put them through these very physical scenes. The ensemble cast also talks about having real Marines as military advisors to bring authenticity to the film and their performances.

Bratton is able to capture the real boot camp experience with The Inspection because he lived through it. The cast also took these scenes incredibly seriously, training to handle the physical aspect of their roles as Marines going through boot camp. Interestingly, the clip features a number of the cast members sharing how they enjoyed the sense of camaraderie that developed, which mirrors the main character’s own experience.

Special Features included on The Inspection Blu-ray and DVD include deleted scenes, “Protect and Serve: Making The Inspection,” and audio commentary from Elegance Bratton. The Inspection is written and directed by Elegance Bratton. The Inspection stars Jeremy Pope (One Night In Miami), Raúl Castillo (Army of the Dead), Bokeem Woodbine (Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys II).
