Charity Lawson, the star of the upcoming The Bachelorette season 20, took on her critics in a new TikTok video. Charity placed fourth in Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor season. He sent her home after her hometown date, even though they had a strong connection throughout their time together. After taking some time to heal her broken heart, Charity accepted the role of the Bachelorette from host Jesse Palmer during Zach’s “Women Tell All” episode.
In a hilarious TikTok video, The Bachelorette‘s Charity Lawson responded to her critics who are refusing to watch her season of the ABC dating reality show. Please note that the TikTok video contains swearing.
In the clip, Charity stirs a cup of tea that says, “You’re awesome. Keep that s*** up.” She wrote, “POV: when [women emojis] keep commenting threatening to not watch my season.” She lip syncs to the infamous exhange between Blac Chyna and her mother. As Blac Chyna’s mother says, “I’m gonna rock your world in this motherf*****,” she responds, “So rock it.” The audio continues, “You put your f****** hands on me again,” to which she again replies, “So rock it.” Charity mouths Black Chyna’s words, “So rock it,” indicating that she doesn’t care if people watch The Bachelorette season 20 or not.
Charity Lawson’s Fans Can’t Wait To Watch Her On The Bachelorette
Although Charity’s video addresses people who are threatening not to watch The Bachelorette season 20, many fans in her TikTok comments section came to her defense. Some people declared that they’d left Bachelor Nation but will now return for Charity. Several said that they’ve never watched the show before, but they will now that she’s the lead. TikTok user Sydney Williams wrote, “Nah bc you brought some of us BACK to bachelor nation!! We watchin girl!” Janeshamoore said, “And just like that I’ll watch my very first episode ever.”
Although the announcement of Charity Lawson as The Bachelorette was met with a lot of praise and excitement, there were a few naysayers who didn’t think she was the right choice for the job. They felt that Charity was too boring or prim and proper to take on the role. During The Bachelor, there were two instances during which Charity showed class by not engaging in arguments with Christina Mandrell and Kat Izzo when they treated her unfairly. Charity always carried herself with dignity and grace, but it’s exciting to see her standing up to people in this clip.
Charity’s TikTok video is hilarious because the use of profanity is so out of character for her. However, she’s right to shrug off those who are threatening to sit out her season of The Bachelorette. Despite those critics, there’s still a lot of excitement over Charity finding the love that she so deserves. She has said that she is proud to take on the lead role and to show little girls who look like her that this is possible for them. Charity is perfect for the role. The Bachelorette season 20 is sure to be one of the best yet, and Charity will definitely “rock it.”
The Bachelorette season 20 premieres Monday, June 26 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
