New Characters Join Strange New Worlds Season 2

Carol Kane’s Lt. Pelia is one of two new characters coming aboard Strange New Worlds season 2’s Enterprise. The other is Lt. James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley), who will have a recurring role in Strange New Worlds season 2. Wesley portrayed an alternate future timeline’s Captain Kirk in Strange New Worlds season 1’s finale, but this version is the younger Kirk who will one day become the Captain Kirk played by William Shatner. However, Lt. Pelia and how she will fit into the Enterprise is a mystery. Hemmer became a wildly popular breakout character who had a touching relationship with Cadet Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), so the blind Aenar engineer leaves big shoes to fill.

Strange New Worlds season 2 is bound to have a ton of surprises in its next 10 episodes, but two of the most exciting guest stars are already known: Jack Quaid and Tawny Newsome will play their Star Trek: Lower Decks characters, Ensigns Brad Boimler and Beckett Mariner, in live-action as their animated series crosses over with Strange New Worlds. Directed by Jonathan Frakes, the crossover will also have an animated component, and it’s described as a flat-out comedy. Meanwhile, Carol Kane is a legendary funny lady herself and Lt. Pelia will likely bring a new comedic edge to the Enterprise’s engine room in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2.
