Summary
- The fall of Mandalore is tied to the Ahsoka series in Star Wars, explored in depth in The Mandalorian season 3.
- Ahsoka has strong connections to the Mandalorians, having helped lead the Siege of Mandalore and teamed up with Mandalorian Din Djarin.
- While Ahsoka is powerful, her presence alone wouldn’t have prevented the fall of Mandalore from Moff Gideon’s attack. Bo-Katan and the Mandalorians were already facing a formidable threat.
Star Wars has tied the fall of Mandalore into the Ahsoka series. The destruction of Mandalore was first mentioned in The Mandalorian season 1 and has since been explored in more depth in season 3, which also saw the liberation and restoration of the planet.
Bo-Katan Kryze has allies all over the galaxy, and yet no one was there to help her and the Mandalorians against Moff Gideon and the rest of the Imperial Security Bureau during the fall of Mandalore. One ally who could have helped was Ahsoka herself, especially given her own deep history with the world.
Ahsoka Has Massive Connections To The Mandalorians
Ahsoka answered Bo-Katan’s request for help during the Clone Wars to liberate Mandalore from Darth Maul’s rule, helping her to lead the Siege of Mandalore. She also teamed up with Din Djarin in The Mandalorian season 2 in order to capture Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth, and her Padawan Sabine Wren is a Mandalorian with deep and tragic ties to the planet’s history.
Why Sabine Blames Ahsoka For The Fall Of Mandalore
Baylan Skoll reminds Sabine that she lost her family and more friends and allies in the fall of Mandalore because Ahsoka didn’t trust her. This implies that Sabine tried to warn Ahsoka about Mandalore and Clan Wren being in danger, and rather than trusting her, Ahsoka ignored her student and insisted on continuing her Jedi training instead.
Ahsoka Isn’t To Blame For Mandalore’s Fall – But Could She Have Prevented It?
Ahsoka is an incredible force to be reckoned with and surely shouldn’t be underestimated, but one Jedi wouldn’t have been enough to save the planet from Moff Gideon’s brutal bombardment in the Night of a Thousand Tears. If Bo-Katan and her fellow Mandalorians weren’t enough of a threat, having Ahsoka and Sabine’s help likely wouldn’t have made much more of a difference in the fate of the planet.
