Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola has confirmed that she will in fact be returning to Jersey Shore, and will be making her first-ever appearance on the spin-off show Jersey Shore: Family Vacation sometime in the near future. Although Sammi was one of the original cast members, she opted out of reuniting with her former roomies for the spin-off series. This was mostly due to her wanting to avoid awkward, and potentially toxic, encounters with her ex and fellow Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz Magro.
Now that Ronnie isn’t on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Jersey Shore’s Sammi Giancola is ready to make her first-ever appearance on the show. On Saturday, March 11, the official Jersey Shore Instagram teased Sammi’s potential return by sharing a photo of her in front of a green screen. The caption read, “She’s still the sweetest b***h you’ll ever meet.”
Then, the following day, Sammi confirmed the rumors by sharing a photo of herself with the caption, “Okay I can finally say… I’m backkk!” This photo was also of herself in front of the green screen.
The Rest Of The Jersey Shore Cast Is Excited For Sammi’s Return
The rest of the cast seems excited for her to be filming with them again. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who has previously teased Sammi’s potential return to Jersey Shore, commented, “We have a Situation.” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi left the eyeball emojis under Sammi’s post but wrote numerous “Omgs” on the Jersey Shore’s Instagram post. Nearly all the cast members were found in the comment sections of both posts, including Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Angelina Pivarnick, and Lauren Sorrentino. Deena Cortese shared Sammi’s post to her own Instagram story, writing “She’s back.” Pauly D also shared the post to his Instagram story while Vinny Guadagnino has not yet commented on her return.
The spinoff series is already much different from the original series. Now, with Sammi returning, there is no doubt the spin-off show will be somewhat different as well. All five Jersey Shore girls have never filmed all together before. When Angelina left the original series for good, Deena came in to take her place. Therefore, although Sammi, along with Snooki and JWoww, has filmed alongside both Angelina and Deena separately, they have not filmed all together. In addition to this, the rest of the cast has continued to live the majority of their lives in the spotlight, while Sammi has preferred a more low-key lifestyle. Returning to the spotlight may be a big change for her.
Although it has been confirmed that Sammi is returning to the Jersey Shore franchise, it is unclear how permanent of a role she will have on the show. There is a chance that she will simply just be making one appearance. Or, on the other hand, she may be rejoining the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast full-time for the show. Fans will just have to wait to find out. As of writing, it has not yet been announced when Sammi’s return will air.
