Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal
The latest addition to Netflix’s catalog of documentaries is Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal. The Murdaughs were one of the most prominent families in South Carolina, but it all started going down after the death of Mallory Beach in a drunken boating accident. Paul Murdaugh, who was the alleged driver of the boat, and his mother, Maggie, were later found brutally murdered, and this brought to light decades of corruption, power, and cover-ups in the Low Country. This docuseries features first-hand accounts from those who were on the boat that fateful night, many of whom haven’t spoken about the crash or the double homicide before.
Outer Banks – season 3
The third season of Outer Banks is now available to stream on Netflix. Season 3 will find the Pogues washed ashore on a desert island that seems like an idyllic home, so they call it “Poguelandia”. After days of living carefree, fishing, swimming, and more, things quickly go south for John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), JJ (Rudy Pankow), and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) when they find themselves caught up once again in a race for the treasure, literally running for their lives.
We Have a Ghost
We Have a Ghost is a family comedy horror movie directed by Christopher Landon and based on the 2017 shot story “Ernest”, by Geoff Manaugh. We Have a Ghost follows Kevin (Jahi Di’Allo Winston), who discovers that his family’s new home is haunted by a ghost named Ernest (David Harbour), so he creates a YouTube channel to show Ernest’s ghost and quickly becomes a social media sensation. However, when Kevin and Ernest decide to uncover the truth about Ernest’s past, they end up becoming a target of the CIA. Also starring in We Have a Ghost are Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Coolidge, and Tig Notaro.
