The aptly named Boulder Town Super League takes place in Boulder Town on Jarilo-VI in Honkai: Star Rail. This first event started on May 19, 2023, and lasts until June 6, 2023. This gives players slightly over two weeks to compete in the Boulder Town Super League and gather all materials. This is great because players will need to complete each round of the event quickly to earn every reward.
Before accessing the Boulder Town Super League Event, a few requirements need to be met. First, players must have achieved Trailblaze level 21. Second, the Fight Club must be accessible in Boulder Town. This is done by completing the Adventure Missions Ring and Stage 1, Ring and Stage II, and Gladiator. This quest chain becomes available when reaching the Trailblaze Mission, In the Sweltering Morning Sun. Luckily, this is not too far into the game, giving new players a chance to join the event. The Boulder Town Super League is broken up into five tournaments: Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight.
How To Complete The Boulder Town Super League
Players earn rewards for completing each weight class within a certain number of rounds. This can be slightly challenging as there are four fights in each tournament. Players are given the recommended element types and should bring two damage-dealing characters. This will help for wave clearing and breaking the weakness of each boss. Trailblazers are also given buffs after each fight that benefit their team greatly.

Players are given Jing Yuan as a trial character for this weight class. He is fantastic for wave clearing and breaking the Lightning weakness of all foes with his Lightning-Lord follow-up attack. There are a few enemies with Wind weakness, giving Dan Heng a chance to shine. The boss round consists of one Blaze Out of Space and one Ice Out of Space. Both are weak to Quantum damage, meaning Seele or Qingque will do well here. Natasha is the recommended healer because the Blaze Out of Space is weak to Physical damage. Fortunately, the first buff players will receive called Premonition, which inflicts one weakness onto enemies based on Elements in the team.

The trial character for the Lightweight tournament is Hook in Honkai: Star Rail. She deals phenomenal single-target damage in the Fire Element. This is compounded with the first buff received, Misdirection, which increases the Crit Rate of all allies’ single-target abilities by 100%. Once again, Dan Heng excels in this weight class not only because of the 100 Crit Rate but his Skill reduces the target’s Speed upon landing a Crit Hit. The bosses are a Searing Prowler and a Decaying Shadow, with a shared Lightning element weakness between them. If players were fortunate to get Bailu, she is a fantastic healer and has the Lightning Element. Otherwise, take out the Decaying Shadow quickly with both Dan Heng and Hook. This enemy has both a Fire and Wind Element weakness.

Serval is the trial character for the Welterweight tournament. She is fantastic for wave clearing and inflicts Shock on all enemies, a Lightning-based DoT. She is also given the Make The World Clamor Light Cone, which regenerates 20 Energy upon entering battle and increases Ultimate damage by 32%. This works wonders with the first buff granted, called Indiscriminate Blitz. Ultimates are considered follow-up attacks, and follow-up attacks have a 200% increase in damage. The bosses are one Frigid Prowler and one Automation Direwolf. They both share a Lightning weakness, meaning Serval can break both bosses. Players lucky enough to pull Jing Yuan in Honkai: Star Rail will be able to defeat this round without many issues. Since his Lightning-Lord is considered a follow-up attack, he also benefits significantly from the Indiscriminate Blitz buff.

Gepard is the trial character of the Middleweight tournament and has the Ice Element. Only enemies leading up to the boss have this weakness. However, Gepard’s ability to Freeze foes with his Skill and grant a massive Shield to all allies with his Ultimate allows players to forgo bringing a healer. The first buff is called Fortitude of Mind and Spirit, a shield after allies use a Skill or Ultimate. Each buff after just improves upon the previous bonus. After the first round, allies get one stack of Overbreathing when gaining a shield, granting a 15% Crit Rate and stacking up to six times.
After round two, Sudden Impact grants allies with three stacks of Overbreathing to regenerate maximum Energy and immediately gain an action at six stacks. Finally, the last buff, Vigorous Pulsation, increases ally damage by 600% when reaching six stacks of Overbreathing. During the boss round, players will face another Ice Out of Space and a Guardian Shadow. They are both weak to the Wind Element, making Dan Heng, once again, a prime choice.

The last of the trial characters is Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail, a phenomenal Erudition unit of the Fire Element. She excels at wave clearing but also deals fantastic single-target damage with her Ultimate. The Premonition buff has returned to apply one weakness on foes based on Elements in the party. The final boss is Svarog, which is fitting as the robot is the last story boss defeated before unlocking the Fight Club. Dang Heng is recommended as the second Damage-dealer because the boss and his minions are all weak to the Wind Element. Both he and Himeko will make quick work of Svarog’s weakness break bar.
The event is an excellent way for Trailblazers to get some extra rewards. While not extensive, the Boulder Town Super League offers some fun battles for players to take part in while waiting for the 1.1 update in Honkai: Star Rail on June 7, 2023.
