Drag Me To Dinner, created by Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, is set to premiere on Hulu this May, and here’s everything to know about its release date, cast, episodes, trailer, and more. The brand-new reality competition series is a must-watch for RuPaul’s Drag Race fans, as several queens from the franchise will feature as contestants. The iconic Bianca Del Rio, along with Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, and Haneefah Wood, are the judges, while dapper NYC drag king Murray Hill takes charge as the host.


Hulu promises the new drag competition show is, “deliciously addictive,” with the, “most fabulous, awe-inspiring, drag-tastical dinner parties of all time.” Former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants, some of whom will soon be seen on RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars season 8, will show off their Master Chef-level cooking skills in this witty and fierce competition. Apart from marking reunions between memorable pairings from the world of drag, it’s also one of the final performances of Heklina, the San Francisco drag legend who passed away on April 3, 2023, in London.

Hulu announced the release date for Drag Me To Dinner on May 1, 2023. Each episode of the reality TV show consists of two teams of successful drag teams. They go head-to-head as they try to throw the most extravagant of all dinner parties. The winning team wins The Glorious Golden Grater. Hulu describes the comedic show as, “a riotous, format-busting, fourth-wall-breaking, unapologetic sendup of traditional reality competition shows.” Dinner will be served starting May 31, 2023, and Hulu promises that it’ll be a, “drag-tastic” affair too.

The official trailer of Drag Me to Dinner reveals what’s on the menu by introducing the sets of fan-favorite drag teams, which will face off in each episode. “A show about drag queens cooking and drinking, what could possibly go wrong?,” Bianca says in the trailer. Full of camp, glamour, rib-tickling one-liners, and of course, a delicious feast, Drag Me To Dinner is a feast for the funny bone. Teams such as Jinkx Monsoon, BenDeLaCreme, Alaska, and William, Raja, and Detox are introduced. “I didn’t come here to make friends, I came here to make dinner,” says Alaska. There are a total of 10 episodes, and TV Insider notes that each episode has its own unique theme that, “Resident expert, life of the party” and Drag Me To Dinner producer David reveals at the start of each episode. Each challenge will be based on different criteria, such as Food & Drink, Design & Décor, Entertainment & Overall Vibe.
