The first responder drama recently returned to Fox after its shocking midseason finale in November. Who Could Return To 9-1-1?

Peter Krause and Aisha Hinds in 9-1-1

The possibilities seem endless, as 9-1-1 has seen its fair share of characters come and go. However, one in particular may need more attention this season as he’s been faced with tragedy, Bobby Nash (Peter Krause). As season 6, episode 9, “Red Flag” revealed, his sponsor, Wendell, had died, with Bobby discovering his remains. Clearly grieving and still in recovery from addiction, someone from his past could be the perfect source of support: his priest from season 1. Portrayed by Gavin Stenhouse, Bobby regularly attended church and would console with him for guidance. It would make sense for him to return, as he is in need of a helping hand. Plus, the priest has not appeared since season 2, so it would fit Reidel’s description perfectly.

However, as Buck is 9-1-1‘s current focus, it’s possible that someone from his past will make a return. While not exactly a fan-favorite, Ali Martin (Tiffany Dupont), could come back to Buck’s side as he is in a serious time of need. It would be a surprise for audiences, as the pair’s relationship ended on a rocky breakup. However, it’s clear Buck will be a changed man after suffering from such a traumatic experience. This could mean a second chance at love with a former flame. As the two broke up by the end of season 2, Ali’s return would also make sense based on Reidel’s comments.

Another possible return in the 9-1-1 season 6 finale could be Hen’s mother, Antonia “Toni” Wilson (Marsha Warfield). As Hen and Karen’s relationship has been tested throughout the series, with 9-1-1 season 6 finally giving Karen her time to shine, Hen’s mother could make a return as the couple is finally settling into their own. As viewers instantly recognized Warfield, the legendary actor made quite an impression on audiences, though her time was short. Her return would make for a sweet surprise. Hen, who’s still figuring her future out, would also benefit from time with her mother. Either way, it’s exciting to think of all the possibilities 9-1-1 could have in store.
