Carlos King, a former producer for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, recently shared that he feels Joe and Melissa Gorga should walk away from the series. The couple has had a prominent storyline for years thanks to Joe’s feud with his sister, Teresa Giudice. However, all the battles have grown stale as everyone is tiring of their drama.
While speaking out on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast, Carlos shared some much-needed insight with RHONJ viewers. Even though Carlos revealed he would never say anything “bad” about the couple, it was apparent that the former producer thought it was “time for the Gorgas to go.” Carlos shared that while Melissa was “fantastic” for the early seasons, now the storyline with RHONJ‘s Teresa Giudice has become repetitive.
Melissa & Joe Gorga’s Tumultuous RHONJ Journey Explained
The former RHONJ producer then said what has become a prominent sentiment, noting that while Joe is one of the best Real Housewives husbands of all time, his wife should have tried to be way more open about her personal life. Carlos has seen this before when a housewife gets trapped on the “hamster wheel” with the same storyline each season. For the Gorgas, there doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
For almost 10 years, Teresa has been trying her best to take down her little brother Joe. After joining the cast during RHONJ season 3, the fight between the Gorgas and the Giudices began. In 2011, an argument broke out at Joey Gorga’s christening. Then came the fight over sprinkle cookies, which Teresa promptly dumped into the garbage. In RHONJ season 4, Teresa tried to paint a picture that Melissa had worked at a gentleman’s club when she was younger. Skip to RHONJ season 9 when Teresa tried to accuse her brother of not being there for his dying father.
With the RHONJ season 13 reunion about to air, the siblings and their partners are not on speaking terms. The reunion will show Teresa trying her best to kick Melissa off the show, but the Envy owner holds her ground. The two women will come face to face, with their husbands by their side, to hash it out once and for all. While Bravo has yet to release information about the RHONJ season 14 cast, with reports saying filming has been delayed, it is hard to imagine the show without Teresa, Joe, or Melissa, but hopefully, their storyline can be spruced up.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
